100 Percent Service Connection Awarded for Bone Marrow Cancer

A veteran reached out to our office with his earnest belief that his bone marrow cancer was caused by his work with aircraft fuel during military service. We worked with the veteran's family to obtain the medical evidence and proof to link the condition to the veteran's service. The veteran was awarded 100 percent service connection.

VA admits CUE (Clear and Unmistakable Error) Regarding Iraq Veteran's Brain Injury Claim

Our office worked with an Iraq War veteran to prove that the VA had erroneously denied his 2006 claim for TBI. CUE claims are very difficult to prove; however, our office was able to show that the VA applied the wrong standard to the original brain injury claim, and thus over ten years of back benefits were awarded to the veteran.

Widow Wins Pre-Katrina - Back Benefits Award

The widow of a Vietnam Veteran came to our office in 2021 after being denied her DIC benefits since prior to Hurricane Katrina. Our office demonstrated that the VA mishandled critical claims documents during the administrative collapse caused by Hurricane Katrina. The widow won over two decades of back benefits-- a significant achievement that had been denied due to VA mistakes that festered since Katrina.

Veteran Wins Service-Connection Based on Race-Based Harassment and Assault

After being denied VA benefits since the early 1980's, a Veteran

sought help from our office in 2018. The Veteran was awarded a 100 percent disability rating and years of back benefits after our office demonstrated that the race-based attack suffered by the veteran was actually documented within the veteran's service medical records.

By Fighting Discharge-Related Bars to VA Benefits: We Can Help Change Veterans' Lives

Over the past five years, our office has helped multiple Veterans demonstrate that a "bad paper" discharge should not bar the VA benefits they earned through service. In these cases, our office collects and submits evidence from other service members, hearing transcripts, and other pre-discharge legal documents, and all relevant service and post-service medical records to demonstrate that the veteran qualifies for benefits under one of the applicable exemptions. Recently, our office won approximately 18 years of back benefits and 100 percent service connection for a veteran who had previously been unhoused and without medical services despite severe disabilities.
